Lasting change begins within communities.
A registered non-profit working across underserved regions of India since 2018 — listening, co-creating and walking alongside the people we serve.
Built on a simple but powerful belief.
Anandita Foundation was founded on the belief that lasting change begins within communities, not outside them.
We are a registered non-profit organisation working across underserved regions of India, partnering with local leaders, women's collectives and community volunteers to address the root causes of poverty and inequality.
Our work spans four interconnected pillars — education, women's empowerment, healthcare access and sustainable livelihoods — because real transformation requires addressing multiple dimensions of a person's life at once.
We do not impose solutions from the outside. We listen, co-create and walk alongside the communities we serve — whether that means setting up a learning centre in a remote village, running health camps in tribal areas, or training young women in income-generating skills. Every programme is rooted in respect for local culture, knowledge and leadership.
Our mission
To empower marginalised individuals and communities in India through inclusive education, women's leadership, preventive healthcare and dignified livelihood opportunities — so every person can live a life of agency, health and hope.
Our vision
A just and equitable India where every community — regardless of geography, gender or socioeconomic status — has the resources, voice and opportunity to thrive.
The principles behind everything we do.
Community-First
Communities lead; we listen, co-create and follow through.
Dignity & Respect
Every person is treated as a partner, never a recipient.
Transparency
Every rupee accounted for and openly reported.
Inclusion
No one left out because of gender, caste, place or income.
Long-term Thinking
Self-reliant change that lasts beyond any single project.
